Malus ‘Arrow Gold’, commonly known as the Golden Crabapple, is a small deciduous tree with delightful features:
- Spring Flowers: It bears masses of single, pink flowers through spring, which gradually age to white.
- Autumn Fruit: In autumn, there’s a profusion of large, clear-yellow crabapples that grow on the branches. These crabapples can be used to make jelly.
- Growth: It reaches approximately 4 meters (10-year height) tall and 3 meters wide.
- Origin: Bred in Arrowtown, New Zealand.
This cultivar is excellent for pleaching or espaliering, and its leaves turn yellow and orange in the autumn. A beautiful addition to any landscape! 🌸🍎🌳
